About Connie Peters

A writer since 1983, Connie L. Peters writes fiction, devotions, poetry and creative nonfiction for adults and children. Connie’s work has appeared in numerous publications (detailed list below).  She is currently working on an adult novel, a children’s novel, a poetry collection, and a picture book with a goal of publication in 2017. She has successfully completed Nanowrimo (50,000-word novel in one month) seven times.

She has written a poem a day since October 2004 and posts poetry daily on enthusiasticsoul.blogspot.com. She writes poetry with Writer’s Digest Poetic Asides and has placed in several challenges. She has served on the Board of Southwest Christian Writers Association for over twenty-plus years and currently serves as SCWA president and edits The Scribe, the group’s newsletter.

She teaches workshops on fiction, poetry, and devotional writing. She has taken two courses with the Institute of Children’s Literature and has attended numerous national and regional writers’ conferences. Currently, she is completing her Bachelors of Arts in English Literature with Grand Canyon University’s online program, set to graduate in October 2017.

Connie lives in Cortez, CO, where she and her husband host two adults with developmental disabilities. The Peters’ two grown children live in Arizona. She likes to travel and has been to 49 states, with Hawaii to go. She has also visited the Caribbean, Canada, and Mexico. She likes to dabble as an artist and play Words with Friends, Canasta, and Splendor.
